Svět hostem v Görliwoodu

Görlitz stále a vždy nadchne svým šarmem a romantickou atmosférou. Dokonce i hollywoodští producenti jsou nadšeni autentickými a mnohostrannými kulisami města a jeho jedinečnou architekturou.Görlitz, který zůstal v době 2. světové války téměř nepoškozen, nabízí se svými cca 4 000 pamětihodnostmi z období 500 let velmi originální časový kolorit a množství inspirace pro filmové tvůrce.

Görlitz byl poprvé v 50. letech místem, kde se natáčel film, a to film „Vůl z Kulmu“/„ Der Ochse von Kulm“. Od té doby se zde natočilo cca 100 filmů, často proběhlo i několik natáčení v průběhu jednoho roku. A tak se stal zprvu tajný tip oblíbeným místem natáčení s bohatě proměnitelnou tváří. New York, Berlín, Mnichov, Frankfurt, Paříž, Heidelberg –  všechna tato města Görlitz představoval ve filmech.

Co se týče vztahu k filmovým hvězdám, je město Görlitz profesionál. Ani samo takové velké nasazení jako při natáčecích pracích u filmu „Grandhotel Budapešť“ s hereckými velikány jako Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Jude Law, Jeff Goldblum a Adrien Brody nevyvede obyvatele Görlitzu nijak obzvláště z klidu.To je ze strany osobností VIP velmi oceňováno. Emma Thompson, která v dubnu a květnu 2015  stála před kamerou mimo jiné s Brandonem Gleesonem a Danielem Brühlem při natáčení zfilmované verze románu  Hanse Fallady „I ve smrti sami“/Jeder stirbt für sich allein, zdůraznila: „Görlitz je velmi klidný, pokojný a obyvatelé jsou neuvěřitelně laskaví.“

V neposlední řadě jsou filmová natáčení důležitý aspekt pro ekonomiku, přítomnost filmových štábů přináší  přece zisk hotelům, pensionům, restauracím. Pravděpodobnost, že člověk potká nějakou významnou osobnost při večeři, je vysoká a přiláká mnohé hosty. Zvláštní zakázky od produkčních firem obdrží i místní řemeslníci, obchodníci a poskytovatelé služeb a tím přispívají k úspěchu filmu.

WOLFSLAND (2018)

Two new two movies of the crime series are filmed in 2017. Commissars Viola Delbrück and Burkhard Schulz are solving new cases. It is one of a few productions where Görlitz acts as Görlitz. Both movies will probably be shown on TV in 2018.

DAS SCHWEIGENDE KLASSENZIMMER (2018)

A drama where students are coming into conflict with the DDR regime, because they are having a minute´s silence in commemoration of the victims from the Hungarian national uprising in Budapest in 1965. It is based on the novel by Dietrich Garstka, who had written down this actually happened story. Production year 2017

THE CAPTAIN (2018)

In 1945, a young deserteur is fleeing from his persecutors. He finds a captain´s uniform and finds other followers who he leads as their captain. The movie can be seen in cinemas from 1st of March 2018.

DER ZAUBERLEHRLING (2017)

A fairy tale inspired by Goethes ballad. World premiere on 23rd of November 2017 in Görlitz.

PAPA MOLL (2017)

„Papa Moll“ is the dad of three children. He owns a chocolate factory  and together they are having a lot of funny adventures. Production year 2017

WERK OHNE AUTOR (2017)

Because his art is being abused by the Nazi and DDR regimes, the young artist Kurt Barnert is personalizing his work strongly.

BYE BYE GERMANY (2017)

German-Belgian-Luxembourgian co-production by director Sam Gabarski. Main Characters played by Moritz Bleibtreu and Antje Traue. World premiere during the Berlinale 2017, movie start April 2017.

THE YOUNG KARL MARX (2017)

Big historical production by director Raoul Peck about the encounter of Marx and Engels. They want to change the world and to overcome the old society.

WOLFSLAND (2016)

In this ARD detective story, the two detectives have to deal with a young German-Polish couple leaving death, fear and destruction behind on their escape between Görlitz, Zittau and Zgorzelec. Starring Yvonne Catterfeld, Götz Schubert and others

ALONE IN BERLIN (2016)
